Tiac and Bollate, a shared history of work, family and community
An industry beats in the heart of Bollate, which is not just an industry: TIAC is a living tissue of stories, passions and commitment.
The stories of Filippo, a retired veteran after 33 years in the company, and his son Salvatore, a current employee, together tell a story of loyalty and ownership.
Filippo tells of his journey within the company with nostalgia and affection: ‘It was a family… there was the boss, right the old man who said, guys, this is a family.’
These words not only describe his relationship with the company, but also reflect TIAC’s inclusive working culture, where the human aspect, the sense of belonging and mutual support between colleagues have always played a key role.
Salvatore, who has been around the company from a very early age and grew up within the walls of TIAC, personifies this bond, proudly stating: ‘I have always been close to TIAC since I was a child. Dad used to take me there!’
The commitment of Salvatore, who is currently employed in the warehouse, goes beyond the routine of his specific job and radiates a deep sense of pride in being aware of the international reach of TIAC’s product: ‘When I prepare and pack the boxes for shipment abroad, I feel important because I know that a company on the other side of the world relies on us’, Salvatore says, underlining his pride in his work that reaches the furthest corners of the globe.
The TIAC story tells of a company that not only supports its employees, but actively involves them in the growth and improvement of the working environment.
Reflecting on Salvatore’s journey, we see how TIAC bet on him, despite the initial doubts, leading to a positive result both for the company and for Salvatore himself: ‘He was a somewhat rebellious boy, let’s say lighthearted!’ says the person who took care of Salvatore’s training. ‘Filippo was pleased and confided in his colleagues, expressing his worries about his son’s school career. So TIAC bet on Salvatore also to support and sustain Filippo’s work. Today we can say without a doubt that we won the bet.’
In this sense TIAC is also a symbol of ‘family continuity and community support’, where business decisions are not only about production, but also about the welfare and development of its members.
This philosophy extends beyond the boundaries of the company, positively influencing the Bollate community.
TIAC is more than just a workplace, it is a ‘microcosm’ where human relations and a sense of community are at the centre, creating an environment where every employee, old or new, feels part of a big family.
With its history, TIAC is not just an industry, but a Bollate heritage, a bright example of how a company can be a positive and life-giving force for its community.
