We Love Bollate: TIAC Runs with Local Schools to Build Community
On October 10th, the city of Bollate joyfully hosted the 47th edition of the “Sempreverdi March”, a beloved event that has been bringing together sport, solidarity, and community spirit for almost half a century. What began as a simple local initiative has grown into a day of celebration for students, teachers, and families — all united by the desire to share an experience of well-being, participation, and mutual support.
The 2025 edition recorded extraordinary numbers, with more than 2,200 registrations and 1,365 participants crossing the starting line. The march was made possible thanks to the joint commitment of the Parents’ Associations from local schools, the support of the Municipal Administration, and the collaboration of many local associations and volunteers — a true example of how cooperation between institutions, citizens, and companies can generate tangible value for the entire community.
What makes the Sempreverdi March so special is its educational and social purpose: all proceeds are donated directly to Bollate’s primary and secondary schools, supporting creative workshops, educational materials, sports activities, and cultural projects. Each edition becomes a concrete way to invest in the education of children, helping schools to offer richer and more engaging learning environments.
This year, TIAC chose to include its collaboration with the Sempreverdi March within the broader “We Love Bollate” project — the company’s ongoing initiative aimed at promoting local social, environmental, and cultural development. By doing so, TIAC reaffirms its commitment to an open and responsible business model, one that looks beyond production and focuses on creating shared value for the community in which it operates.
TIAC’s support for the event was not limited to the company’s sponsorship: it was also made possible thanks to the voluntary participation of TIAC employees, who dedicated their time to help during the day. Several team members joined the hospitality and event coordination activities along the route, contributing to the smooth running of the event and even receiving praise from the local police for their dedication and helpfulness.
“We strongly believe in the connection between business and community,” states Giacomo Maddalozzo, TIAC Plant Manager. “Events like the Sempreverdi March clearly show how collective participation can generate authentic value — promoting education, well-being, and a genuine sense of belonging.”
Throughout the day, children and parents, teachers and volunteers filled the streets of Bollate with energy and smiles. The joyful atmosphere, the awards, and the small celebrations along the route all shared the same message: a community grows stronger when people work together.
The involvement of local institutions and the support of companies like TIAC turned this event into much more than a race — it became a moment of unity that connected generations through simple, shared values: education, health, and cooperation.
TIAC’s participation in initiatives like the Sempreverdi March reflects a broader vision of corporate social responsibility — one that aims to build continuous dialogue between the company and the territory. Through We Love Bollate, TIAC intends to keep promoting projects that celebrate people and relationships, contributing in a tangible way to the quality of life in the local community.
Once again, the Sempreverdi March proved that in Bollate, sport, collaboration, and education always win — and TIAC is proud to have run this stretch of the road together with everyone.
